Job Description
Under the general supervision of the DME Coordinator, the Level III DME Inspector is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and rebuilding a variety of Discharge Manifold Equipment (DME). This role ensures duties are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively in accordance with Halliburton DME standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and non-destructive examinations on stationary equipment per API and ASME standards.
- Conduct DME re-qualification inspections to meet Halliburton, customer, and government entity standards.
- Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rating, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment.
- Issue and sign off on final qualification certificates.
- Act as the senior inspector on-site and mentor DME Techs I, II & III, and DME Inspectors I & II.
- Follow and interpret isometric drawings and circuities plant piping.
- Ensure proper document and record control, maintaining an analytical approach.
- Foster a culture of safety and quality assurance.
- Prepare accurate technical reports documenting equipment condition and data in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of oilfield operations experience, including at least 5 years in DME inspection to ASNT II (or equivalent) standards.
- 2+ years of on-site chemical plant experience preferred.
- API 510/570 and API 653 Certification required.
- In-depth knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
- Level II certifications in NDT methods (MT/PT/UTT) considered an asset.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in UT (Limited Qualification) 40 hrs., PT 280 hrs., VT 140 hrs., and MT 210 hrs., with a minimum of 520 hours in NDT.
- Ability to inspect without supervision to ASNT II (or equivalent) standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Work Conditions
- 100% on-site role.
- Standard shift: 40 hours per week, 5 days.
- Length of assignment: 1 year with potential for full-time employment conversion.
