Job Description

The Massachusetts Division of Insurance is seeking 3 organized candidates to provide full-time temporary employment assistance, for administrative tasks related to the agency’s preparations to move to new offices in Boston’s Financial District, in February 2025.

RATE: 15.73 – 19.73/hr. On W2

These administrative tasks include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

§ Emptying file cabinets of their contents.

§ Boxing, labelling, moving and stacking records according to established protocols for their ultimate disposition.

§ Hand carts and other non-hydraulic wheeled equipment will be used for moving records. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs.

§ Minimal word processing and data entry could also be assigned if necessary, but the primary need is for manual labour.

§ Other move related tasks determined by need and circumstance as they occur.

The Division hopes to have this temporary assistance in place from approximately November 1, 2024, through February 2025.Temporary help should expect to service and receive direction from multiple business units across the agency, with varying degrees of need and readiness to perform move-related tasks. Temporary staff will be allocated according to senior management’s determination of where assistance is most needed in the agency.
